Warriors Weekend
Every year on the weekend before Memorial Day, Port O’Connor hosts a special weekend of fishing and fun for our wounded soldiers called Warriors Weekend. The locals stop what they are doing, and volunteer to help make it a weekend of fun and fishing for our soldiers that have been wounded while protecting us. Some donate their time and boats to take the soldiers fishing, business and home owners donate places for them to stay, others donate their time assisting in any way possible to make this a weekend the soldiers will never forget.
