Wow, we are going on day 3 of freezing temperatures in Port O’Connor and the forecast of at least 2 more days of it even the possibility of snow and the wind is still blowing. The water temperature as of this morning at the jetties is 34.9f its been a slow drop from 54 earlier this week so hopefully the fish have been able to find deeper warmer water to hide. Stay warm. I have been asked by several customers about custom protective covers for the New Minn Kota Talon Shallow Water Anchor. I have done some research and taken some measurements, and have my patterns for a Complete Cover ready. You can choose form Sunbrella canvas or neoprene, both are available in many colors to match your boat or existing Boat Covers. Port O’Connor had some beautiful weather this weekend. Many duck hunters enjoyed the final weekend of Duck Season, reporting good results. Some fishermen ventured out, us included, with good results there too. The water level is still low, but was beautiful, not the usual chocolate milk. Fishing forecast for late winter/early spring looks very promising.
